AUSTIN – Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick issued the following statement today upon the Texas Senate Special Committee on Congressional Redistricting’s Passage of Senate Bill 4, by Sen. Phil King, R-Weatherford:

“After two days of hearings on Senate Bill 4, the Texas Senate Special Committee on Congressional Redistricting passed out the new congressional map, including 5 new Republican majority districts, by a vote of 6 to 1. Senate Bill 4 will come to the Texas Senate floor for a vote next week.”
