Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick Announces Appointments to the Capital Project Oversight Advisory Commission



 

AUSTIN – Today, Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick announced the appointment of Sen. Brandon Creighton, R-Conroe, Sen. Drew Springer, R-Muenster, and Danny Signorelli, of The Woodlands, to the Capital Project Oversight Advisory Commission. Upon making the appointments, Lt. Gov. Patrick issued the following statement:

“It is essential that public institutions of higher learning have clear and concise guidelines for campus construction projects. I have complete confidence that my appointees will make insightful recommendations for review.”

Sen. Brandon Creighton, R-Conroe, currently serves as the State Senator for District 4, and is the Chairman of the Senate Committees on Education and Higher Education. Previously, he served in the Texas House of Representatives.

Sen. Drew Springer, R-Muenster, currently serves as the State Senator for District 30. He previously served in the Texas House of Representatives.

Danny Signorelli, of The Woodlands, is the CEO of the Signorelli Company, a real estate development firm. He is a member of the Fort Bend County Economic Development Council, a general partner member of the Greater Houston Partnership, and member of the Greater East Montgomery County Council. He is a graduate of Texas A&M University.

The Capital Project Oversight Advisory Commission consults with the Legislative Budget Board (LBB) and Comptroller to develop model guidelines to be considered by university systems and public institutions of higher education for procurement and construction related to capital construction assistance programs. The commission will deliver legislative recommendations and a report on model guidelines to the Governor, Lt. Governor and Speaker of the House of Representatives by December 1st.
