Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick Announces Appointments to the Joint Oversight Committee on Investment in Information Technology Improvement and Modernization Projects



 

AUSTIN – Today, Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick announced the appointment of Sen. Bob Hall, of Edgewood, Sen. Angela Paxton, of McKinney, and Sen. Royce West, of Dallas, to the Joint Oversight Committee on Investment in Information Technology Improvement and Modernization Projects. Upon making the appointments, Lt. Gov. Patrick issued the following statement:

“It is essential that our state agencies are as efficient as possible, and I know that Sens. Hall, Paxton and West will make recommendations with that goal in mind.”

Bob Hall, of Edgewood, is the State Senator for District 2. He is the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Administration. Hall is a veteran of the United States Air Force.

Angela Paxton, of McKinney, is the State Senator for District 8. Paxton is the Vice-Chair of the Senate Committee on Nominations and is a former teacher.

Royce West, of Dallas, is the State Senator for District 23. He serves as Vice-Chair of the Senate Committee on Higher Education and is the managing partner in the law firm of West & Associates, L.L.P.

The Joint Oversight Committee on Investment in Information Technology Improvement and Modernization Projects was created by House Bill 4018 during the 87th Legislative Session to review investment and funding strategies for projects to improve or modernize state agencies’ information resource technologies.
