Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick Announces Appointment to the Adult High School Charter School Program Advisory Committee



 

AUSTIN – Today, Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick announced the appointment of Chuck Cook, of Flower Mound, to the Adult High School Charter School Program Advisory Committee. Upon making the appointment, Lt. Gov. Patrick issued the following statement:

“Adult learning can open doors and present better economic opportunities for Texans, and I know that Chuck will do a fantastic job providing insights and making recommendations on how to improve these offerings.”

Chuck Cook, of Flower Mound, is the CEO of Responsive Education Solutions (ResponsiveEd), and has led its expansion into one of the largest charter school systems in Texas, with over 70 campuses statewide. Cook also founded the Foundation School for Autism in San Antonio.

The Adult High School Charter School Program Advisory Committee was created by Senate Bill 1615 during the 87th Legislative Session to advise the Commissioner of Education on an accountability system, performance framework, and assessment tool appropriate for adult learners.
