Lt. Governor Patrick Announces Appointments



 

AUSTIN – Today, Texas Lt. Governor Dan Patrick announced the appointment of four Senate members to the Texas Rural Health and Economic Development Advisory Council, and the State Water Implementation Fund for Texas Advisory Committee.

The Texas Rural Health and Economic Development Advisory Council reviews and advises on rural policies and programs and makes recommendations regarding the allocation of federal block grant money. This council also administers a rural health task force and develops rural policy plans.

Texas Rural Health and Economic Development Advisory Council appointment:

The State Water Implementation Fund for Texas (SWIFT) Advisory Committee advises the Texas Water Development Board on the administration of SWIFT funds. This committee also reviews the overall operation, function, and structure of the fund at least semi-annually and advises the board on any water related matter.
