AUSTIN – “Today is a very important day for Texans. Voters across the state are heading to the polls to vote on the future of our property taxes, transportation infrastructure, veteran benefits and more.

“I’ve traveled around the state over the past five months campaigning on taking the first step in achieving real property tax reform and dedicating significant funding to relieve chronic traffic congestion across Texas.

“I want to thank the senators for their leadership in pushing for lasting tax relief and better transportation infrastructure funding among other priorities. Most importantly, I want to thank all those who voted early and encourage those that have not voted, to do so today. It’s important. It is our civic duty and your vote will mean a better Texas.”
