Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick: Statement on the Passage of Senate Bill 20



 

AUSTIN – Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick issued this statement today following the passage of Senate Bill 20, the Second Amendment Protections for Travelers Act, by Sen. Donna Campbell, R-New Braunfels:

“Congratulations to Sen. Campbell and the Texas Senate for passing this important reform to ensure Second Amendment rights remain in place when Texans are traveling. Every Texan has the right to self-defense and SB 20 makes it clear that Texans retain their constitutional rights when they travel and use hotel rooms.”
