Lt. Governor Patrick on Senate Committee on Natural Resources and Economic Development Hearing

AUSTIN –  Today, the Senate’s Natural Resources and Economic Development Committee Chair Craig Estes held a public hearing to discuss what Texas can do to remove regulatory barriers that inhibit businesses from investing in our state.

“A predictable regulatory structure that is efficient, effective, and timely is important to protecting our strong business climate,” said Patrick. “The committee is looking for new ways to cut ‘red tape’ and expedite the permitting process for businesses.

“I applaud Senate Chair Estes for evaluating what works, what is obsolete, and identifying improvements in our processes and programs to ensure that Texas remains economically secure.”
